"Our goal is to help you die younger.....as late as possible."

Chosen as “One of America’s 20 Super-Heroes of the Health Movement,” Dr. Hans Diehl directs the Lifestyle Medicine Institute in Loma Linda and lectures at the College of Medicine at the University of Illinois at Rockford and at the School of Medicine of Loma Linda University, Loma Linda, CA.

Dr. Diehl established the Lifestyle Medicine Institute more than 25 years ago offering his Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP) as a cost-effective, community-based, educationally intensive 35-hour lifestyle intervention program to attack the root causes of the chronic disease epidemic.

The goal is to lower blood cholesterol, hypertension, and blood sugar levels and reduce excess weight. This is done by improving dietary choices, enhancing daily exercise, increasing support systems and decreasing stress, thus aiding in preventing and reversing disease.

His pioneering efforts as an epidemiologically trained lifestyle interventionist with the Coronary Health Improvement Project (CHIP) have shown how simple lifestyle changes can prevent, arrest, and facilitate the reversal of many of our largely lifestyle related diseases. He uses his years of experience in the area of lifestyle medicine and charismatic presentation style to guide participants through the fascinating research surrounding dietary and lifestyle choices and our health.

More than 70,000 graduates in different countries have demonstrated that lifestyle changes can indeed facilitate the arrest and reversal of many of these diseases. The clinical results of his pioneering efforts with the CHIP program have been published in more than 35 papers, mostly in peer-reviewed medical journals.

Through powerfully motivating stories of changed lives Dr. Diehl conveys the rules for vibrant health, as well as how to shed bitterness, find new peace of mind, and recover a close connection with God.
